FREQUENTLY described as the friendliest club on the Central Coast of NSW, Toukley Golf Club is located approximately half-way between Sydney and Newcastle, on bushland that juts out into the scenic Budgewoi Lake. The 6156-metre, 18-hole championship course is unique in that it is comprised of two distinct layouts - the front nine holes being flanked on both sides of the fairways by trees, while the back nine are open to the wind, almost links-style. Toukley Golf Club is regarded by many as one of the leading golf courses on the Central Coast. Read about and view pictures of the club's most humble origins, where determined volunteers braved once snake-infested swamps to develop the coast's most enduring and picturesque layout.
