Gosford Central Coast

Gosford is only 60 minutes north of Sydney and is the business hub of the Central Coast. It is located on the northern end of Brisbane Waters. It is home to Gosford Shire Council, with its public libraries, Olympic size pools, technical college public and private schools, major hospital and sporting grounds (including indoor sporting arenas). It is also home to ever popular Blue Tongue Stadium where many national rugby league, rugby union and football games are played.

There are several large clubs, pubs, bars and night clubs, shopping centres, including cafes and fine Brisbane Waters - Gosford dining restaurants, most of which are conveniently located within the central business district. Gosford has two theatres, a race course, ten pin bowling, museums and art galleries and the foreshore plays host to several popular annual events including summer carnivals, circuses and the noodle night markets.

Not far from Gosford is the Australian Reptile Park at Somersby, the miniature steam trains and locomotives at Narara and Mt Pennang Gardens at Kariong which hosts the Australian Springtime Flora Festival annually.
