Toowoon Bay - Central Coast

Winner of the 2007 Cleanest Beach Award, Toowoon Bay (sometimes referred to as Chinamans Bay) is positioned on a headland with Blue Bay to the north and Little Bay to the south. Toowoon Bay is located to the south of the famous pelican capital of Australia, The Entrance and within minutes from the tranquil Tuggerah Lakes.

Toowoon Bay beach is around a kilometre in length and is a great place for families with small children as the waves are generally small and the beach is normally protected from winds and strong currents. Depending on the weather, you have the choice of Toowoon Bay (facing east) or LIttle Bay (facing south) for the better beach condtions.

Located above the beach with its spectacular coastal views is Swadling Park. The park is a family favourite, with plenty of parking, bbq and toilet facilties. Make sure you arrive early to claim one of the many picnic huts available as these prove very popular, particularly on weekends and school holidays. They make an excellent base for exploring this magnificent area.
